On Our Journey Home
From Europe's shores,
they set their sail With hopes and dreams,
they wouldn't fail A journey fraught with fears and fears
But they persevered, and now they're here
Five generations later,
And see the journey that we all track
From the land of blooming mangoes and oranges
Where memories of Habotnim Street now engages
They faced harsh realities, insecurities so real
But through it all, they held on to their zeal
To make it to a land where they could thrive
And build a life, free from fear and strive
So we stand here, proud of all they've done
And thank them for their journey, now begun
For it's a story of hope and love and courage
And we'll forever keep it, as our heritage.
On Our Journey Home
Orchard Trail
My love of photography began at a young age, and I am drawn to the details and new perspectives that a camera can capture. Through my art, I aim to express emotions and preserve memories by photographing objects that hold personal significance. Recently, I published my first book, Orchard Trail, which helped me to say goodbye to my childhood home. I seek to capture the feeling of a moment, to express ideas through pictures, and to evoke a sense of sound and movement in my images. My camera is a tool to interpret my surroundings and create a narrative or poem within me, conveying my own feelings through the colors, shapes, and emotions that I capture.
